K-9 Emergency Response Teams (KERT) is a volunteer search and rescue team that consist of canine, ground search teams, and a Medical Group. All KERT resources are trained and certified to national standards that follow the National Incident Management System for Resource Typing and Credentialing.
KERT responds to Wilderness, Water, Human Remains, Disaster Search and Rescue missions throughout northern Wisconsin. KERT provides its services at no charge to public safety agencies.

Wisconsin Disaster Medical Response Team is under the umbrella of the U.S. Surgeon General in the Office of the Civilian Medical Reserve Corps. The DCVMRC functions as a clearinghouse for information and best practices to help communities establish, implement and maintain MRC units across the nation.
The MRC Program Office sponsors an annual leadership conference, hosts a web site and coordinates with local, state, regional and national organizations to help communities achieve their local visions for public health and emergency preparedness.
Wisconsin Disaster Medical Response Team also maintains both formal and informal MOU's with several Public Health Departments in Northern Wisconsin.
